Counselors are not staffed 24-hours a day. As such, counselors are unable to provide emergency services in times of immediate crisis. If clients have an emergency outside of therapy, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room. If the client has an urgent but non-emergency matter and it is outside business hours, please contact Ascend and a counselor will return calls as soon as possible. Counselors make every effort to do this within the same business day if possible. Weekends and holidays may warrant a longer time for response. If a counselor plans to be out of reach for more than 24 hours, they will notify clients as soon as possible.
